To ensure that my Expert Advisors continue to perform at their best, I consistently update them, incorporating the latest advancements in algorithmic trading and financial markets, as well as incorporating feedback and requests from my valued clients.
When one of my Expert Advisors receives an update, I strongly recommend that you also update it on your end. This can be accomplished through three different methods:
1. If you followed the “Easy setup” in this guide and have your EA(s) installed in a ValeryVPS, you’ll just need to run an auto-updater script, located in your VPS desktop.
2. If you followed the “Manual setup” and have your EA(s) installed on your own PC or VPS of preference, you’ll need to:
a. Re-download the EA(s) from the “Expert Advisors” section in the user dashboard in ValeryTrading’s website
b. Extract the updated .ex4/ex5 files and install them in your MetaTrader terminal data folder
c. Refresh your MetaTrader terminal navigator and reload your EA(s) into your market charts
d. Ensure that the version of the EA(s) you are loading is the most up-to-date
3. If you bought your EA/s through the MQL5 market, you’ll need to do the update through the MQL5 platform directly. The process is pretty straightforward. You can check the “How do I update an app to the latest version?” at the end of this article from MQL5.
